Weekend

Today is Saturday afternoon and we are having a really nice weekend so far. I had a good visit with the 3rd and final vet yesterday and it seems that my boy is ok for now ( knock on wood, cross your fingers and say a prayer). No need to rush into anything, just enjoy him amd keep him happy for as long as possible. I was preparing myself for this weekend however that is CRAZY and he is not going anywhere anytime soon. The best part of all is that he will not be poked or proded with needles. The one CRAZY vet at the University wanted to stick a needle in his bladder just to get a urine sample out of the poor guy.... I almost kicked her in the face when she brought that up! She had a few more retarted ideas and I seriously wanted to kick her...she was not even a real vet yet just a resident. Ok I am being mean now but REALLY let's stick a needle in a 13 year old dogs bladder just to get a urine sample!!!!!!!!! Let's stick a need le in your baldder and let me know how that feels you crazy freak!
On a happier note our good friends Dave& Laurel came in from Tisdale and we had a really great evening. We went out for diner to Amigo's and then out to the Jeff Dunham comedy show. It was a fun time!
Tonight Kass and I are heading out to catch up as I have been a little unavailable this past week with the whole Koda fiasco. God I love that guy!

Probably

The picture is a little snapshot of what I ate for breakfast for the past 3 mornings. That is probably the reason why when I went shopping last night nothing fit. It is probably the reason why all of my work clothes look like hell on me and it is probably the reason why all of my hard work with my trainer and wedding preparations have all gone out the window. I am Oprah for crying out loud a fricken big fat Oprah! In times of stress like now with my son I am polishing off a litre of ice cream. Why is it that my appetite does not go away when I am upset. I am a big fat emotional eating Oprah!
I am looking for a new trainer someone that is allabout pilates, cardio and physique type of exercises. Have you heard of Tracy Anderson? She is the trainer to Madonna and Gwenth Paltrow, she believes in small weights and lots of repetitions.http://www.tracyandersonmethod.com/ I want a trainer like her.
Not squating and lunging until the cows come home and my quads are huge and my ass is even bigger! ooohhh wait my ass is bigger b/c I eat a litre of ice cream for breakfast. i am not even an ice cream kind of girl......I do not really like any other kind of ice cream but cherry cheescake...i apparently LOVE that stuff!
On another note I am going to the vet today with my son to get an ultrasound to see what is happening with him. The vet right now believes he may have internal bleeding and/or his cancer is back. I was just kissing and snuggling with him and told his belly to BEHAVE!!!!!! We do not need that stuff happening in there! My goodness it is a belly that belongs to a dog that never behaved....but that was all the more reason to love him. Last night we went for a walk and he was having a blast! There was a little dog there and he was yelling at him. Koda has been yelling at me to, we even had a good howl all 4 of us on the way home from the park! If Koda is yelling and bossing me around then that is a good sign. Who knows in three hours you may not be able to pick me up off the floor though. I feel like when he is gone part of me will be gone forever. That fun, silly totally goofy part of me that he brings out. ENOUGH I am going to go and snuggle with him for awhile!

Ooooooh I hope it gets to be -40 out today. Then I will have no kids at school because the busses won't run, just like yesterday!!!

My heart is breaking

We go to the vet on Wednesday to detemine what is going on. Either way it is not good and my heart is breaking. I miss him when I am away for a couple of hours.

Tisdale

Is an awesome town for a couple of reasons:
1. It is where I met my handsome husband.
2. Two of the greatest people live there and I love visiting them!
The top pic is what I want a bedroom in our fantasy B&B to look like!
On another note that will be brief...my boy, according to my new vet is not feeling so good. If I type anymore I will cry all over the keyboard. Please send him positive thoughts and prayers.
Meanwhile I am going to deny anything is wrong and go and kiss him as much love as I possibly can!

LOving the car!

Last night we went driving around car truck lots looking at trucks we may want to buy and the pooches came along for the ride. A couple of hours later when we got home this guy was NOT ready to get out of the van. He wanted to stay in and refused to get out! This is him being stubborn even after I dragged his bed part way out of the back.

Courtney at C Star Events in Vancouver used our images in this inspiration board she created for her friend!!!! I am sooooo excited!!!! Thanks Courtney!
Anyone that is has planned a wedding in the last year knows that inspiration boards are HUGE! When I was planning our wedding I could not finy ANY cool Mountie weddings to draw ideas from!
Okay now I feel like posting more pics from our wedding. I have to be sure to keep my hubby's face out of thepics though....sorry!

Monday

Birthday Party

Last night we went out for diner for Kass's birthday party to an awesome place. It was a great evening and I was very happy to share in my friend's special day! All of the M girls were there along with their funny husband's. Chad took the group shot on his iphone and was demanding an instant post, although his face will remain a mystery along with my husbands. Although I was teased about my blog I was honoured that people are actually reading it! Thanks girls!

Charlotte Brynn's Visit

The other day Katie & Charlotte came over for a visit. Charlotte will be 2 in May and she is soooo funny. The one pic is of her watching the Wiggles sitting comfortably in our coffee table. She was VERY excited to see the "doggies"! They were very excited to see her as well however after awhile Koda decided that he was done with kids and informed me that I better not have any, any time soon! Don 't worry Koda you are my number one son and that is not happening anytime in the near future!
Oh yeah and the other pictures are of Dakoda wrapped in my cranberry garland. He looks thrilled really!

Yeah Friday!

I am so Happy today is Friday. I survived my first week back at work after 3 weeks off! I know, I know tough life hey!
The house is a mess and I just ate 1 100 calorie chocolate granola bar for breakfast as well as a 100 calorie pack of mini oreos....nice breakfast!

Is it good that when you crawl into bed your husband of 6 months says to you " Wow, that's a Doozey" about your pj's?
Just wondering?
Those of you that know me know that I love wearing the most awful granny nighties to bed however I am thinking I should maybe look for something a little "younger".
The thing is that I love nighties and they have to be long....... I hate short nighties. I have looked everywhere and cannot find any. If anyone out there has any suggestions please let me know!

My new addiction....... Audiobooks from itunes. I used to be a bookworm and actually read books. University forced me to read things I never wanted to and my whole reading went out the window. Magazines always stayed close to my heart however I do not count that as actual reading (even though I truly read then cover to cover). I downloaded a couple of books off itunes before we left and My oh My I love "reading" again! I went on itunes last night to see if they had any books I could use for my class at school and they do! I am thinking my kids will be pumped to read a book & listen to it at the same time! I downloaded The outsider's for them last night!
The images are from my mom's friend's place in Mexico. She spends her winter in PV and this is the cool pad she rented this winter. Kim and I loved it it was so open, original and inspiring.
Off to buy some CD's to burn my Audiobooks on.
Hopefully get a blackberry and thinking about heading out to Clavet...probably will NOT happen!!!!

Mexico

I am happy to report that we are back safe and sound from Mexico. We had a great time, the sun was warm, the ocean was beautiful and the drinks were cold! We did a lot of relaxing, (too much) eating and took it easy. Back to reality and my 3 wonderful pooches! As you know I cannot post pictures of my hubby so there are only a few shots to share since I am always the one with the camera taking pictures of him.
